YSL's Shocking Mascara. NOT SO SHOCKING!!

Recently I’ve been obsessed with trying out new mascaras , and to be honest a mascara is just a mascara like I've never tried a mascara that doesn’t coat my lashes or something you know what I mean?! the only difference is that there is a mascara that thickens your lashes and one that lengthens your lashes, and another one that makes you look like you're wearing false lashes basically different purposes.

Back to YSL's shocking mascara, I heard a lot of people rave about this mascara how great it is and how it looks like you're wearing false lashes when it's on and all that jazz.

So my sister in law was kind enough to give it to me as a gift few days back <3 and I was so excited to wear it. So I tried it on one eye. I put one coat on. It was ok.. nothing much happened I mean.. my eyelashes got darker!.. I tried going over it few times I noticed it was getting so clumpy.. although I removed the access product from the wand! Btw the wand was very normal nothing special about it!

Anyways I decided to give it another try the next day. So I put my whole make up on and I tried the mascara again. It was good. but again it was so clumpy and it doesn’t' lengthen at all! I guess the reason it's so clumpy is because it's suppose to be thickening? I don’t' know.

Generally YSL are known for the great quality of their mascaras and I tried different mascaras from them before and they're frankly better than this one. Anyways it’s a good mascara but it's not THAT shocking!

Little black velvet dress!

Remember when our mothers used to make us wear these little velvety black short dresses with the white collars? (Pic on the right) I used to wear them all the time when I was a kid and my mom used to pair them with fluffy white socks and black formal shoes.

Anyways umm .. they're back now and they're very trendy I found a dress in forever21 exactly like the ones I owned back when I was a kid and it was so adorable and so beautiful. I'm just loving texture this winter, and velvet is one of my favorites.

The black dress with white detail gives me the perfect palette to add a pop of color in the shoes I choose. Maybe bright red heels or some ankle booties with white socks peeking out the top.

The only problem is that it's too short my mom once saw me wearing it and said: NICE TOP! So I'm guessing I'll wear them with stockings!

20 Things to do in the Morning to Have a Good Day!

Who doesn’t like to have a good day? We all wake up in the morning a little cranky which then sets us off for a bad day ahead of us. How we act in the morning before work or before our day officially starts effects out day and how it plays out. Here is a good, long list of 20 things to do in the morning that will get you ready to have a marvelous day!

1. Wake up on time.

Most of us hear that loud ringing sound in our ears and just bang it until you hit the snooze button and then go back to sleep for 9 more minutes. Then it goes off again! Some of us hit it again, but others actually get up! By hitting the alarm clock over and over meaning you sleep later and later only calls for a bad day. This means you wake up late and have to rush to work or school and rushing things is always a call for disaster. Instead, get up at the right time so you can have enough time to get ready and stuff.

2. Take an early morning walk or jog.

If you have a lot of time on your hands, this will surely wake you up. Get up, get some shorts or something on, and go for a walk with the dog or a jog. It allows you to awaken strong for a good day!

3. Take a shower.

Taking a shower allows you to be cleansed of all the gross stuff your body picked up overnight. For example, oil in your hair. You don’t want to go to work with horrible looking hair! You want to keep your job don’t you? Taking a shower also offers some relaxation for your morning.

4. Take your time getting dressed.

When taking your time, really at anything, you avoid error. If you rush through something like getting dressed and mess up somehow, you will be regretting it. You will regret forgetting socks and you have to go the whole day with a stinky pair of feet!

5. Eat a good breakfast.

Once you have done the first 3 thing, its time for the food, everyone’s favorite! Eat a good breakfast for energy for the day. Choices include an apple or banana or both, cereal, bacon and eggs, anything that will give you energy for the day.

6. Drink coffee.

Drinking coffee allows every bit of you that didn’t get waken up by the first 4 steps to be waken up, haha. Coffee is good for when you are tired to wake you up. What are you in the morning? Tired. What do you need to do? Wake up! Drink coffee.

7. Read the newspaper.

This can be done while you eat and drink breakfast. Reading the newspaper allows you to catch up on the news. Who knows, you might read something that you like that will put you in a good mood for the rest of the day, or you might read something bad which creates a bad mood. Just read the homes or sports section. Those shouldn’t make you mad.

Ok, so now you have about an hour til you need to leave for work. Good, that’s plenty of time to do many things to have a good day.

8. Watch the morning news.

Just like reading the newspaper, the morning news will allow you to catch up on the current news. It will also provide something to talk about at work.

9. Relax a little.

You still have quite a bit of time, so now go sit out on the balcony (if you have one) or a porch. Just sit in the chair and watch the water, plants, or whatever you are facing. Hearing the birds call in the morning or watching the sunflowers blow around in the wind, it provides a good relaxation period.

10. Clean a little bit.

When you clean something like a table or a cabinet or whatever you clean, you feel like you have achieved something valuable. Not something big like conquering a nation, just clean a little bit to ensure a good feeling. Feeling good about yourself enables self esteem which creates a good mood then creating a good day!

11. Wake the kids up.

Possibly the best thing to being a parent is seeing your children, according to most parents. Seeing your kids wake up and give you a hug and a kiss in the morning will definitely get you in a good mood.

12. Wake your wife up.

A husband’s most proud procession, besides the TV remote, is his wife. Seeing her in the morning just like seeing your kids will set you in a good mood. If you are smart, you should have her cook breakfast for you or you cook breakfast for her!

13. Pet the dog awhile.

Aw, the dog. Your kids love that mutt and you are convinced you kinda are starting to love it. Just give the dog a little rub down to let them start off with a good day! Seeing your pet happy will make you happy.

14. While driving to work, turn on music you like.

If you prefer quietness while you drive, that is just fine. It creates more time for relaxation. One thing that puts me into a good mood is my favorite type of music. Turn on some tunes and enjoy the drive.

15. Try not to get pulled over.

This is top in creating a BAD day. Getting a traffic ticket, especially from that cop you really do not like, will not help a good day. Don’t speed, wear a seatbelt and follow the law!

16. Take your time driving to work.

Once again, take your time! Rushing through might cause for someone to get mad at you which will create a bad day for them and then you might even get in a wreck! That would really not be a good day.

17. Arriving at work.

Arrive at work with a smile on your face, especially if you are passing your fellow co workers. Sometimes, all people need is a good smile to change their day around.

18. Walk into work happy!

Odds are, you really do not want to be at work. If you storm in with a frown on your face and stomping your feet, people will notice you are not having a good day. Instead, walk in happy and say hello to everyone, or at least try too.

19. Speak to a close friend.

By speaking to a close friend or co worker, you are interacting kindly to another human being. Acting kindly whether to yourself or another person will put you in a good mood. Plus, you might talk about something funny or silly. Humor always creates a good day!

20. And finally, have the right mindset.

Sometimes people pass this step up. They do all these steps but still turn out having a bad day for some reason. Put it in your head that you will have a good day today no matter what happens. You can always pray and ask God to provide you with a good day and he will definitely provide you with one.

The main things to remember are to never rush at anything, watch/listen/do something funny or humorous, and remember that you can pray and ask God because he will always provide.

Thanks for reading and HAVE A GOOD DAY!

Clean and Clear shine control daily facial cleanser

As I mentioned earlier, I'll start reviewing products I used and loved and have worked for me and for my skin. So first I'll start with facial cleansers.

Washing your face all time with the proper cleanser is something I swear by. It's the key to clear skin. When you go on with your day being exposed to the air, to the dirt, come home and go to bed without washing your face, all the bacteria, dirt and oil will sit on your face sink into your pores and start irritating your skin and cause breakouts. You must make sure that you wash your face regularly at least 3 times a day.

I don't recommend using soaps, that’s my personal opinion, soaps are boring and can be very drying and don't have the cleaning properties of a cleanser.

I tried many things including soaps nothing worked for me. I'll mention few cleansers I've used before and didn't work like Olay foaming face wash this one was just foamy my skin didn't feel clean afterwards, Neutrogena oil free for acne wash .. OMG that was a nightmare, it completely dried my skin out I had dry spots on my face it was disgusting!! And I also used Clinique wash away gel cleanser and also the cleanser from the Clinique 3 step clearing system. Both were pricy and useless didn't do much really.. But they were ok. I also used many other things but they're not even worth mentioning!

Nothing worked NOTHING until I found my holy grail product *drumroll* taraaaaaaa it's clean and clear shine control daily facial cleanser. <3

I absolutely love this product I can't say enough about it!

It makes me feel so fresh, am on my 3rd bottle of it. It's basically has a liquid consistency with blue beads inside which at first i thought there were exfoliating beads but no. Not at all they melt once they touch your skin and you don't feel them. It smells good as well very fresh.

All you have to do is wet your face with water I recommended warm water to open up the pores. Then take the tinest amount I would say a pea size amount maybe?! yeah that should be enough then wet your hand with a little bit of water and start lathering the cleanser in your hands and put it on your face and work it on your skin in a circular motion then wash it of.

I have to say this cleanser wakes me up in the morning and makes my skin feel so clean, and I also noticed that my skin is getting better since I started using this product i mean i had no breakouts, my skin didn't get oily throughout the day. I don't know about the shine control claim I mean if it stops the oils then there won't be any shine I guess!

Anyways I love this product I recommend it. It's cheap and nice and I just love it. I think they are in the process of changing the bottle it’s the same product same color but in a deferent shaped bottle!

My skin and Accutane.

Alright guys so I had this idea that I would review products that I have used long enough to actually give you my opinion on them .

First I have to tell you about my skin, I have combination oily skin. I get oily in the T-zone during summer or when exposed to hot weather. I have never suffered from acne all my life except recently, I've been breaking out like crazy maybe it's my diet maybe it's my makeup maybe it's from being so close to animals, to be honest I have no idea why!

I saw a dermatologist. DR Harb Al Omari. He's the best in Bahrain he has a clinic in Sanad. He said you have stress acne. Of course the acne I got wasn't noticeable it was more like small bumps that were under the skin, they come and go but being the person I am I thought my life was going to end. Anyways he recommended a treatment session which is to be honest the most stupid thing I've ever experienced in my life. Such a waste of money. I was just sitting in a room with a girl popping my pimples with a needle! I had nothing to be popped but according to him the acne was so deep in my skin that it had to be popped using a needle and an extractor!

Anyways, he put me on Accutane for 1 month and I did my research, Accutane is for severe cases. It's supposed to dry out your face from all the oils and stuff so that you don't breakout. This medication is so strong that he made me sign something saying that I cannot get pregnant during the take of this medication, because if I do get pregnant the baby is going to be really harmed and would probably die!! WHICH PART OF I'M SINGLE DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND!!?

Anyways! He recommended products to me that were nice but really expensive and unnecessary too! Like sunscreens, eye creams, whitening creams, masks, vitamins.

Anyways the first week I saw changes and that’s it. Not much happened after that. Once I finished my 30 pills of Accutane I didn't purchase it again and I didn't go to Dr. Harb again.

Am not saying Accuutane is not good or the doctor is not good. Both are great but it wasn't for me it was for severe cases and all I had was few pumps on my face.

Anyways. I decided to adopt a new life style. I promised myself that I would make sure I drink my 8 glasses of water Every day to flush all the toxins out of my body and I would make sure that I wash my face 3 times a day. And I would scrub every other day to remove the dead skin cells and I would make sure that I remove my makeup completely when I get home and all that good stuff.

That’s all I did and now my skin is better than ever, but of course with the help of few products that I'm going to review soon.

Are we designed to be meat or plant eaters?

Have you ever wondered whether humans are supposed to eat meat or just have a plant based diet? Well, I have.. and that’s why I decided to search more about it.
I watched few videos and read few articles that claim humans are naturally vegetarians because our bodies resemble plant eaters, for example this video.

So let’s compare plant eaters like Cows, and meat eaters like Lions and humans lets say Me :)

Lions: Have claws
cows: No claws
Me: last time I checked No claws :P

Lions: have sharp front teeth for tearing, with no flat molar teeth for grinding
cows: no sharp front teeth, but flat rear molars for grinding
Me: no sharp front teeth, but flat rear molars for grinding

Lions: have intestinal tract that is only 3 times their body length so that rapidly decaying meat can pass through quickly
cows: have intestinal tract 10-12 times their body length.
Me: have intestinal tract 10-12 times their body length.

lions: have strong hydrochloric acid in stomach to digest meat
cows: have stomach acid that is 20 times weaker than that of a meat-eater
Me: have stomach acid that is 20 times weaker than that of a meat-eater

Lions: salivary glands in mouth not needed to pre-digest grains and fruits.
cows: well-developed salivary glands which are necessary to pre-digest grains and fruits
Me: well-developed salivary glands, which are necessary to pre-digest, grains and fruits

Lions: have acid saliva with no enzyme ptyalin to pre-digest grains
Cows: have alkaline saliva with ptyalin to pre-digest grains
Me: have alkaline saliva with ptyalin to pre-digest grains

So THIS brings us to the conclusion that we are very similar to cows aka plant eaters..

Is that really the case though? well, NO we are unfortunately Ominovors and it’s hard for me to admit that but it’s true humans are capable of eating either meat or plant foods.

See here is the thing, we share something with apes and that is, we both eat what’s available, you would think that apes are plant eaters but No, if there are plants around they would choose that of course but if there is nothing else but meat, they would eat what’s available, exactly like us, we would eat anything that is available for us, because our bodies are built to eat meat and plants BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN THAT YOU HAVE TO EAT MEAT, you have the choice to choose whatever you want to eat.

And please don't bother me by saying meat is the greatest source of protein because even kindergarten kids know better than that.

I just wanted to make it clear that I am aware that humans are Aminovors and can eat meat and plants and that im not a tree huger, sunshine eater or a strict retarded vegan, but I don’t agree with statements saying that “ we were born to eat meat” cause no one can determine what a man was meant to eat.

As I said we should look at species similar to us like apes, chimpanzees and gorillas and see that our digestive system and teeth can process meat just like those animals but it’s better to eat plants because it’s better and more convenient that’s why it’s those animals first choice, If you offered an ape a piece of burger or a banana it would defiantly choose the banana although it has the option of eating both.

So if the ape is making the right choice don’t you think we should as well?
